Consistently the best beer spot/BBQ place in town and quite possibly one of hte best in the USA.Their beer list is a combination of their own Ringneck brews and beers from all over you will probably not find on tap anywhere else. The list changes constantly. My favorite is the Big Woody Lager from Ringneck( which I take home a growler of everytime I am there as any Ringneck beer is available to be brought home) and there are always happy hour specials on RN that make it a great value as well for fresh brewed beer.Their food is great-best chicken wings in town ( smoked with Cajun dry rub brings out the flavor of the biggest wings you will find),homemade mac and cheese with cajun sausage, the BBQ sampler are personal favorites.

I know, another strip mall brewpub…. But don’t judge it from first appearances. The place is larger than it looks from the outside with a large bar and plenty of seating. Breweryana and signs blanket the walls and the bar sports a large chalk board to give you the taps of the day, complete with beer’s ABV and IBU. Not only do they have a decent selection of their own beer, but an EXCELLENT selection of other micros from across the country, including Victory, DFH, Stone, Bells, Breckenridge… making the Brew Kettle a very highly rated beer bar as well. We had the Ringneck Hefe and Big Woody Lager which were very good, and a few other out-of-town beers. The Chief’s Rye was excellent, and I was disappointed that none was available in bottle. Food is standard pub and BBQ fare. The chicken wings are gigantic. Try the spaghetti (w/ BBQ and pulled pork), OR a heaping dish of nachos with pulled pork. Thanks Sarah for helping us out while on our way to the airport.

I was there in March of 2006--I'm a little slow getting my reviews posted. I arrived at 4PM and the bar was packed--I thought this spoke well of the place. Paul was the bartender and he was great. I sat at the end of the bar--unfortunately where the wait staff lingered waiting for someone to set at the tables. They were obnoxious. They were very concerened about what I was writing down, they coughed and hacked and talked about how sick they were and how they should have stayed home, and called each other faggot. "How lucky for the people setting at the tables," I thought. But I was at the bar being tended to by Paul who kept the bar patrons with beer and food all by himself!
I'm sure that the taps have changed so I won't list what was there in March, but I will say that they had 7 of their own and 13 guest taps. I had a stout, Impereal IPA, and 4C's Plae ale. All of them were excellent!
I'd stop in again but I will only set at the bar

The overall quality of this place seems to be constantly improving. If I'm in Cleveland, it's on my short list of "must-stop" beer haunts. This time in town, I stuck to the outside brews, none which disappointed. St. Louis Framboise was nice, definitely less intense than Lindemans. Lagunitas Capuccino Stout surprised me as to how much of the hops I could taste along with the coffee. The two best on this tirp were Great Divide Hibernation which was a great malt/hop (big) balance, a big, fat, old ale. Stone Oak Arrogant ia a superb beer--hops, malt, oak, bourbon. Wow! The locals love this place too, as it is more packed with each new visit. Gumbo super spicy and tasty, too!

My first trip to visit the Brew Kettle / Ringneck Brewing Company was an all around good experience. I went to drink and check out the facilities, but wound up eating nachos. Large portion or nachos topped with fresh ingredients and a bowl of excellent salsa. That was the only food I ordered, and it was quite good. Service we prompt, nice environment, lighting was dimmable, and non-smoking (I like to smoke when I drink but not when I eat).
Started off with the Poor Richard's Ale on Nitro, it was very delicious! I’d have to say my favorite. The Bourbon Aged Dark Helmet was unique. A beer with that much time invested in the end product is worth a whirl. I’m not a big Bourbon fan but I’m glad I tried it. I then had a few guest beers from the nice tap selection. I scored a four pack of 22 oz bottles to take home; I spit them with my room mates. I thought - South of the Border Lager was good, Yukon RED Ale was EXCELLENT, the Extra Bitter Special Bitter wasn’t as bitter as I expected and was surprisingly pleasant with a smooth finish, I did not care for the Real American Pilsner – It was ok, but not for me.
I think the BOP is a cool very idea. I prefer to brew my beer at home, but would be well suited for some. I was there at night, so the brew house wasn’t running. I would like to go back and check it out when it is.
All and all I would go back.

As part of a baseball/beer/see America adventure, drove out to Strongsville on a 7/25 afternoon to check the place out. My first impression was, "You've got to be kidding. This is it?!". So much for first impressions. When I left I was asking myself, "How come there's nothing in my neighborhood like this place???". Beyond the five house brews, they offer a dozen more guest taps. The food menu reads like a Chinese restaurant,it has so many choices. Tried a pint each of the Breckinridge Amber Ale and the houses Ringneck Copperhead Red Ale and Porter. All were good but I'd love to have a pint of that Porter in front of me right now. Being a native Northern Californian, I was blown away when I saw they had a Lagunitas(Petaluma,CA) on draft. Kind of like going to NYC and seeing an Anchor Steam tap. That's when you know you are home even though you might be far away. Great Happy Hour prices. Variations in their sampler menus. A great collection of serving trays on the walls above the dining area. Home brewing in the back. As far as I'm concerned, this place has it all goin' on.

i stopped in the brew kettle tuesday around 2-3 pm, i was not greeted, the barmaid stood there , i said ice tea, she left, she came back stood there, i said wings,, she left, i was having a conversation with three guys at the bar and implied i need to be quiet ill get throwed out, well too late i did, i do not know who writes these raves reviews on brew kettle, i think the employees, cause it is a whole lot of hype, they draw a crowd but soo does mcdonalds, the food isnt as good as pacinos or inn-between, just minutes from there, i think this is a family get drunk take the kids place and therefore popular,, i hardly ever got waited on as i should, one time at the bar, i even left 20% tip, yet im tired of the barmaids attitudes and hostess running back and forth, pretending to sit people, all she does is run back and forth,,,,,well brew kettle is a beer house, not a good food eatery.. when a bunch of customers are talking about any subject, those with staff ought to just shut up, aint there business s/ pissedoffjohn

Business is booming at the Brew Kettle! Stopped in recently on a Friday about 6:00 and found one seat )lucky me) at the bar with the greater majority of booths and tables filled also. They offer 3 kinds of samplers: the house beer, micros/imports, and high end brews. I tried a micro sampler and wasn't disappointed. My first taste of a Jolly Pumpkin was the Calabaza Blanca--very refreshing and well crafted. Summit Maibock came off as a bit sweet for my liking. Founders Red's Rye is an old favorite and lived up to my expectations. Rogue Integrity IPA was a perfect example of Amarillo hops--very tasty. They also let me sample their Chief's Rye from the cask. It was slightly sweet with hop bitterness throughout. Happy Hour for their house beers lasts from opening til 7PM @ 2.50 a pint. Stop by, there's something for everyone here!

Heard about this place forever, but never went untli last night. I didnt know what I was mising. Very unassuming store front that is hidden in a commercial strip mall. Once inside though it is a beer paradise. They make there own beer and you can make yours as well. All of this with guest beers on tap and an awesome menu. The all female staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about all of the beers. I heard them very patiently describe what ABV and IBU meant to customers who were not versed in the brew language. My friend had the ribs and I had the fish and chips. They both were above and beyond our expectations. Back to the beer. I had the 4c's Pale ale which was as bitter as cold day in Cleveland and was made with four different kinds of hops, hence the four "C" named hops which I cant recall. One of the guest beers that I had was the Dog fish Head Aprihop which had just a hint apricot which the bartender Erika assured me as she sensed my indecision to order a apricot flavored beer. I was rewarded for my selsction with a golded medium hopped treasure that I would recccomend to even the heartiest of hop heads. The apricots just teased your taste buds while traveling down your throat. Fruit laced without being fruity. A+ in my book, and I dont like fruit beers. I finished off my stay with the Ring neck Czech Pilsner which by default is their light beer for the timid. I only say that because that is about as light as it gets at the Brewkettle. I enjoyed this beer non the less for its crisp finish and smoothe taste. All in all, this place should be checked out. A hidden gem just south of Cleveland. Aloha, Payton.

Stopped at the Brew Kettle for the first time on 11/23/05 and really was impressed. Besides their own Ring Neck beers on tap, they also had an impressive array of guest beers including selections from Founders, Rouge, Stone, and Bells, along with some selections from some smaller breweries and Delerium from Belgium. Good prices-$3.25- $4.00 a pint.
The food was quite good, the bar-b-que wings were second to none. Service was decent, and the clientel friendly.
The interior was decent with a long bar to the left, and a decent amount of booths on the right. The brew your own area was in back.
The Brew Kettle is a place I will certainly be returning to on my frequent trips to the Cleveland area.

I visited this brewpub on 10/10/05 and had the following brews: 4C's Pale Ale, Copperhead Red Ale, Chestnut Brown Ale, Cheif's Rye Ale, Amber Ale, Big Woody Lager, and their Root Beer. Not available in my sample but also available were Imperial Pale Ale & Schwarzbier. Their samplers are set up so that you can try a variety of brews including Imports and Domestics along with their own beers. I would have been happier with just a sample of all their beers but I took what I could get. The establishment also has a brew on premise operation that was booked solid for the next several months. The restaurant itself was also packed on a Monday night. All sorts or brewerania are available for sale. This brewpub was definitely a keeper and I will be back when I return to Cleveland.

How IRONIC...the reviewer "Dave" whom also wrote a review for The BrewKettle and Fort Street breweries used to be associated with these brewers. Whats that phrase...you should never burn your bridges...Dave, lil too late to try to rebuild your reputation. I have been patron to The Brewkettle, Quarryman Tavern and now The Cornerstone, and can say that I have had enough dealings with Dave to say unfortunately he ruined a good thing for place(Quarryman). Building a business is hard for anyone, but when you abuse your staff and don't appreciate your customers, it's bound to fail. The brewers and all three establishments are always trying to keep those loyal customers happy and trying to convert the "average" beer drinker into a beer enthusiast! It's working! Keep it up guys! We appreciate your hard work and overflowing pints!

first time in the store and had great beer for my birthday. Problem was the food and server. I had a pork sandwick that was VERY fatty. When i asked about it the server said that pork is a fatty meat and that sometimes it just works out that one sandwich gets alot of the fat. I smiled and nodded and expected her to reach for my plate to replace the sandwich, but she didn't. I ate not one more bite of the hting and then she came around to ask how everything was going and noticed that my sndwich was uneaten and said - as God as my witness - "too fatty for you?" and I said yeah and she took the sandwich back with the rest of the soiled accoutrements. Whatever. bad experience, but probably not like that all the time. Beer was great, however. Not the place to do a special occasion in my opinion, but worth a quick night out.
